A Leader With Deep Roots in Our Community

Scott Corliss is a longtime Corpus Christi resident, U.S. Navy Disabled Veteran, and successful local businessman with over 40 years of deep roots in the community. He founded A/C&R Services 32 years ago, growing it from the backseat of his car into a company employing 35 people with millions in annual revenue along with working in all 50 states with different Jurisdictional authorities.

  • Scott has a passion for this City, with service, to this community by serving on numerous boards and commissions, including Governor appointed board member to serve on the Texas Coalition on Crime Prevention, Nueces County Civil Service Commissioner, and The South Texas Joint Military Task Force.
  • Scott has worked closely with CCPD and local school districts on public safety and multiple community initiatives.
  • Scott is an active church member since 1985, serving over 30 years as a Deacon at his local church. Scott has been married for 38 years, and is a proud father of three and grandfather of four.

He is running for City Council At-Large to promote smart growth, strong neighborhoods, and a safer, more prosperous Corpus Christi.

Water Security

Corpus Christi must secure a reliable, diversified, and drought-resistant water supply that protects our environment while meeting the needs of a growing community.

Scott understands that a sustainable water strategy is critical not only for attracting future businesses, but more importantly for ensuring residents have dependable access to water. Scott will advocate for solutions that are environmentally responsible, financially sound, and designed to keep water costs affordable, so families are not burdened with higher utility bills.

Public Safety

One of the Primary responsibilities of the Corpus Christi City Council is to ensure that every resident can live and work in a safe community.

Scott is a strong advocate for our first responders and is committed to ensuring they have everything they need to protect & serve our community. He understands that true public safety means more than just lowering crime, it means giving families peace of mind in their own neighborhoods. He will work tirelessly to make Corpus Christi not only safer, but a place where everyone feels safe.

Residential Streets

Corpus Christi is growing and will continue to grow and needs to invest in its infrastructure, with a stronger focus on repairing & revitalizing the roads families rely on every day, our neighborhood streets.

Scott is committed to enhancing neighborhood streets and parks to improve the quality of life for all Corpus Christi residents. He believes our community deserves dependable roads, effective drainage and wastewater systems, and well-maintained parks. By investing in these essentials, Scott will help ensure that every neighborhood is not only safer and more efficient, but also more beautiful.

Economy & Jobs

The City of Corpus Christi has a responsibility to create a strong and competitive economic environment that creates high-paying jobs and expands the local tax base.

As a local businessman, Scott understands what it takes to build a healthy economy and make Corpus Christi an attractive destination for investment. He knows that new businesses mean new jobs, stronger families, and a more resilient community. Scott will work to attract both large employers & small businesses so that all of Corpus Christi can share in our city's growth and success.
